Deerfield Police Station Risk Assessment

In November 2015, Primex, the insurance carrier for the town of Deerfield and Deerfield Police, conducted a risk assessment on the Deerfield Police Station at the request of the Town Selectmen, Chief of Police, and Town Administrator.

They conducted a thorough review of the station. The primary concerns were the department’s lack of privacy, inability to separate juvenile and adult detainees (against federal law), and prisoner processing and restraint. See the full report in the link below.

Since 2018 Deerfield Police has been looking into prospective locations and designs for a new Police Station. In order to address the major issues with our current location, it has been determined that a new facility is the best way to move forward.
