Patrol/Investigations
The Patrol Division is currently staffed by (7) full-time and (1) part-time officers, overseen by the Patrol Lieutenant and Sergeant. The Patrol function in Deerfield is conducted 24/7 and is the face of the Deerfield Police Department.
All officers respond to emergency calls and conduct their own investigations. This gives continuity to how calls are handled from start to finish. DPD regularly investigates reports of Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, Burglary, Theft, etc. This means officers have skill sets with investigating a wide variety of calls.
